Vote Heather Pauley
for KPUD Commissioner by Tuesday, November 5th!
I'm Heather Pauley, your Kitsap Public Utility District Commissioner.
I've been honored to represent you the past 6 years.
As your commissioner, I have prioritized:
-
managing our precious resources,
-
ensuring clean and safe drinking water, and
-
promoting internet access for all
I hope to earn your support once more to continue addressing these challenges.
During my first term, I helped:
-
mobilize wireless hotspots across the county, ensuring students could learn remotely,
-
advocate for public broadband access as a member-representative for NoaNet,
-
spearhead a cybersecurity initiative to safeguard KPUD's water systems,
-
partner with tribes, ports, and state legislators to pass the Public Broadband Act, paving the way for internet access for all,
-
implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training and hiring practices,
-
lead the process for hiring and onboarding KPUD's first female general manager, and
-
serve as Board President during COVID-19, pivoting our operations and moving public meetings online.
With your support, I will focus my second term on:
-
preserving our natural resources for generations to come,
-
maintaining the health of our aquifers,
-
continuing to stream gauge monitoring efforts,
-
supporting the build out of broadband access throughout the county,
-
competitively positioning KPUD to receive federal funding, and
-
working with local partners to ensure success for all.
I've dedicated my career to our community.
